Job summary

The Department of Families, Fairness & Housing VIC – Horsham VIC is seeking a Team Manager in Child Protection for the Wimmera South West Area. This role focuses on effective service delivery, resource and budget management, and endorsing case plans to safeguard children and support practitioners.

Travel and in-country travel may be required, with potential overnight work. A valid driver's license and WWCC are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' work experience in child protection and/or child, youth and family welfare.
• A valid driver's license.
• Hold or obtain a Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Full registration or membership with a Social Work Board or Association is encouraged to attach.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, review and management of the team and members' case work.
• Review team documents including court reports, case plans and assessments to ensure reporting obligations are met.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with team, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Foster proactive problem solving and leverage team strengths to resolve issues.
• Promote a learning environment and support ongoing knowledge and skill development.
