Benevolent in Australia is seeking a Part-time Child & Family Practitioner to support young parents and their children through the Targeted Early Intervention program on Dharawal country in Campbelltown. As a Child & Family Practitioner in our Targeted Early Intervention / Foundations for Young Parents program, you will work alongside young parents and their children to build parenting confidence, strengthen family relationships and support safe, positive outcomes.
Using strengths-based, trauma-informed and child-centred practice, you will undertake comprehensive assessments and work collaboratively with families to develop practical, achievable plans. You will also connect families with community and specialist services that respond to their individual needs. The broader position purpose includes improving parenting capacity, strengthening family resilience and functioning, increasing children’s safety and reducing the risk of children entering out-of-home care.
This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity working 30 hours per week until 30 June 2027, providing coverage for an employee secondment.
