Job summary

VIP Immigration, on behalf of Gurwood Early Learning Centre, seeks skilled Childcare Workers for a full-time permanent position in Wagga Wagga. You will help children grow through engaging activities, supervise routines, and contribute to a safe, nurturing learning environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience and holds a Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education & Care, with certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Hold Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education & Care (or equivalent).
• Hold, or be willing to obtain: First Aid, CPR, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
• Complete the necessary Child Protection and Child Safe Standards training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide high-quality care in a safe, engaging environment.
• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities that foster creativity and learning.
• Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development through structured play and hands-on experiences.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, dressing, hygiene, and promoting independence.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, hygiene practices, and supervision requirements.
• Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Prepare learning materials and set up educational and recreational activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support children in developing essential social skills.
