Job summary

Wyong Hospital is seeking a dedicated Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to join its mental health team, delivering specialist psychiatric care to children and young people in community and acute settings.

You will lead assessments and treatment, collaborate with families and schools, steer multidisciplinary case discussions, supervise junior staff, and contribute to training and service development in a supportive regional hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents
• Working collaboratively with families, schools, and community services to support recovery and wellbeing
• Leading multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning
• Supervising junior medical staff and contributing to training and service development
• Promoting trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and culturally safe care
