About the Role

Aerometrex is a leading geospatial technology company that specialises in providing geospatial solutions and insights for our customers. Our key products – MetroMap, LiDAR and 3D visualisation models – support a wide‑range of industries and customer requirements.

As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO), based in our Glynde Head Office, to help scale our operations, drive efficiency through technology, and position the business for the next phase of expansion.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll play a pivotal role in bringing together all aspects of operations to ensure everything runs seamlessly, efficiently, and at scale. In production you’ll oversee the complete workflow for imagery, LiDAR and 3D data collection and processing, ensuring projects are delivered with precision and speed. On the technology side, you’ll lead our ICT, data infrastructure and software development teams, building systems that are robust, scalable and enable smarter automation and integration across the business. This role also involves working closely with the aviation team, ensuring safety, quality, compliance and efficiency are maintained to the highest standard.

At its core, this role is about turning complexity into clarity. You’ll optimise efficiency, drive innovation and build a culture of seamless collaboration between technical, operational and commercial teams. Working closely with the CEO and the executive team, you will translate strategic goals into operational reality, ensuring our systems, processes and people are set up to deliver exceptional results.

Day to day, you will lead operations across all divisions, aligning teams, allocating resources effectively and meeting or exceeding performance metrics. You will streamlines workflows, automate where possible and continuously improve delivery for our clients by enhancing data quality, turnaround times and customer satisfaction. You will also play a key role in quality and safety processes across the business.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capability and proven experience in managing and developing high‑performing teams. You will bring exceptional people‑management skills, fostering a positive, collaborative and accountable culture, and possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills essential for preparing high‑quality reports and confidently presenting insights, recommendations and strategic updates to the Executive Team and Board.
