Job summary

Limestone Coast Local Health Network is seeking a Director of Clinical Training to lead the Medical Education Unit, providing clinical leadership for prevocational doctors, TMOs, IMGs and junior medical staff across the network.

The role focuses on education excellence, governance, quality improvement and CPD, with flexible arrangements and inclusion, and offers a total remuneration package (MD2) pro-rata.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with appropriate specialist qualifications and eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a medical practitioner with specialist registration.
• Demonstrate strong clinical leadership capability with experience applying clinical governance, quality improvement, safety and risk management principles within complex health service environments.
• Bring demonstrated experience in medical education, teaching and supporting the development of Interns, TMOs, IMGs, junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Medical Education Unit and drive education excellence, professional development and CPD initiatives.
• Provide clinical leadership for prevocational doctors, TMOs, IMGs and junior medical staff across LCLHN.
• Strengthen clinical governance and accreditation standards within the network.
• Build key stakeholder partnerships and drive continuous improvement to foster a safe, supportive learning environment.
