Job summary

AUSTRAC is seeking a Deputy CEO, Intelligence to provide strategic leadership of the agency’s enterprise intelligence function. The role is to drive intelligence-led regulation and operations, align governance with national priorities, and strengthen partnerships across the National Intelligence Community, law enforcement, government and private sector.

You will lead the Intelligence Division, model ethical leadership, and guide the organisation through high-trust national security challenges

Qualifications

Executive leadership and governance experience in a complex national security or regulatory environment.
Deep understanding of the financial intelligence lifecycle and its use in operational, regulatory and strategic decisions.
Proven ability to exercise enterprise stewardship across organisational and partner boundaries.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct AUSTRAC’s Intelligence Division and set the strategic priorities of enterprise intelligence.
Ensure intelligence capability alignment with national priorities and risk-based harm reduction outcomes.
Oversee delivery of priority intelligence programs informing operational, regulatory and policy decisions.
Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement, national security, international and private sector partners.
Provide authoritative advice to the CEO, Ministers, executives and governance committees on intelligence priorities and threats.
