  • Lead finance, commercial, governance and growth initiatives across a large and expanding healthcare organisation.
  • Located in Sydney with hybrid working arrangement on offer.
About the company

This established healthcare services organisation has built a strong market position through consistent growth, operational excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. With operations spanning multiple locations nationally, the business continues to invest in scale, capability and innovation to support long-term success.

As the organisation embarks on its next phase of growth, it is seeking a commercially astute CFO to lead the finance function and contribute to strategic decision-making. The role offers significant exposure to executive leadership, business transformation initiatives and value creation opportunities.

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer is a pivotal executive leadership position responsible for the financial stewardship, governance and long-term financial success of the organisation. Acting as the CEO's most senior financial advisor and a key advisor to the Board, you will provide strategic insight, commercial guidance and governance expertise to support business performance and future growth.

Leading a high-performing finance and commercial team, you will have responsibility for financial management, planning and analysis, governance, risk, reporting, business performance, property and commercial activities. You will oversee the organisation's budgeting and forecasting processes, drive financial discipline and accountability across the business, and ensure the delivery of timely, insightful reporting to both the Executive and Board.

A critical component of the role will be supporting strategic growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, business case development, financial modelling and capital management. You will also lead ongoing improvements across finance processes, systems and reporting while working closely with strategic partners to enhance control, efficiency and decision-making capability.

With accountability for governance, compliance and risk management, you will ensure statutory obligations are met while strengthening frameworks that support transparency, accountability and commercial performance. As a valued member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will contribute to enterprise-wide strategy, organisational effectiveness and long-term value creation.

About you

You are an accomplished finance executive with experience leading finance functions within complex, multi-site organisations. You bring strong expertise across financial management, corporate governance, commercial strategy, planning and performance, together with a proven ability to partner effectively with CEOs, Boards and executive leadership teams.

Commercially astute and strategically minded, you have a track record of improving business performance, leading transformation initiatives and supporting organisational growth. Experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial modelling, investment analysis and strategic planning will be highly regarded.

You are an engaging and influential leader who combines strategic thinking with operational execution. You build high-performing teams, establish trusted stakeholder relationships and thrive in environments that require both commercial rigour and adaptability.

CPA or CA qualifications and healthcare or human services sector experience are essential. Previous M&A exposure and GAICD qualifications will be viewed favourably.
