Job summary

TasICT is Tasmania's peak ICT body, seeking a leader to set strategy, implement plans, and act as the public face of the sector. You will engage government and industry leaders, shape policy positions, and drive growth in membership and partnerships while guiding a small team including the Events Manager.

The role is permanent part-time (30 hours/week), based in Hobart with flexible working arrangements, and requires strong governance and budget management skills.

Qualifications

• Strong stakeholder relationships.
• Policy and advocacy know-how.
• Sharp written and verbal communication, including confidence in front of media.
• Experience leading people and working with a board or committee.
• Solid handle on budgets and organisational sustainability.
• Background in ICT, another peak body, a not-for-profit, or a comparable organisation.
• Ability to build trust and turn priorities into outcomes.

TasICT is the peak body for Tasmania's ICT sector. Reporting to a Committee of 12 elected industry representatives, you will set strategy and lead its implementation. You will build relationships with government and industry leaders, shape policy positions, front media and radio interviews, and grow TasICT's membership, partnerships and influence. You will also lead a small team, including the Events Manager. This role positions you as the public face of Tasmania's tech industry.
