Job summary

Locality Planning Energy Holdings Limited is seeking a growth-oriented Chief Executive Officer to lead the company from Maroochydore, reporting to the Board and guiding strategy with a customer-focused, hands-on leadership style.

You will bring proven P&L leadership at CEO/EGM level in a listed, multi-utility context, with a track record of profitable growth through acquisitions, partnerships and market expansion.

• Energy or utilities experience preferred; other consumer-focused sectors also valued.
• ASX-listed company experience or governance capability to operate in listed environments.

• Drive growth initiatives, organically and via acquisition, including customer acquisition, geographic expansion, capital deployment and product diversification.
• Strengthen operational processes and systems to lift business performance.
• Oversee financial planning and budgeting to improve profitability, cash flow and financial stability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, regulators, developers, strata partners and employees.
• Meet the obligations of a listed company CEO, including continuous disclosure, statutory reporting, the AGM and investor relations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with market dynamics, regulatory change and operational challenges.

About Our Client

Locality Planning Energy Holdings Limited (ASX: LPE) is an Australian-owned and operated multi-utility services company, and one of the industry's largest embedded network operators. Headquartered in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, LPE currently serves communities in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania.

LPE supports communities every day. It buys energy at portfolio scale, operates the embedded networks, manages metering and billing, meets regulatory obligations and supports customer enquiries. It also designs, funds, installs and owns the embedded infrastructure, including metering, centralised hot water, solar, community batteries and EV charging.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead LPE’s growth, scale the business and build on a strong market position, while remaining close to the day-to-day realities of a customer-facing business. This is a hands-on leadership role in a publicly listed environment, calling for a growth-driven, commercially astute executive who can build a high-performing team and carry the whole organisation with them.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with market dynamics, regulatory change and operational challenges.

What You'll Bring

• Proven P&L leadership at CEO or EGM level in a business of similar scale and complexity.
• An entrepreneurial, decisive and growth-focused leadership style, with a track record of profitable growth through customer acquisition, market innovation, partnerships and M&A.
• Experience in consumer-facing businesses, with an owner's mindset for cost and customer.
• Demonstrated strategy development and execution that creates shareholder value.
• A hands-on leader who has built high-performing executive teams.
• Experience in energy or utilities is strongly preferred, including retailing, behind the meter or energy markets. Property development, land lease communities, telecommunications or another consumer-orientated business will also be highly regarded.
• Experience as a chief executive or senior executive of an ASX-listed company, or the judgement and governance discipline to step into a listed environment with Board support.
