Job summary

ASIC seeks an accomplished senior executive to lead the enterprise data, analytics and AI strategy and transformation across Australia. You will drive modernisation of data platforms and cultivate trusted data as a strategic asset to support proactive regulation.

You will set the enterprise strategy, oversee architecture and governance, and translate insight into actions that improve regulatory outcomes, engaging commissioners, executives and diverse teams across ASIC.

Purpose

Lead ASIC's enterprise data, analytics and AI agenda and help ASIC become a more proactive, adaptive and data and intelligence-led regulator.

You will position data as a trusted strategic asset, build enterprise data capability, and help ASIC to identify and respond to emerging issues and use data and intelligence more effectively as part of regulatory decision making.

Your role

Leading a Multidisciplinary Function, You Will

• set the enterprise strategy, operating model, investment priorities and transformation roadmap
• oversee trusted data products, architecture, platforms and engineering in partnership with technology leaders
• strengthen data governance, quality, stewardship and accessibility across ASIC
• enable secure, ethical and responsible analytics and AI, translating insight into action

This role requires the ability to influence at the highest levels and across the entire enterprise. Working with the Commission and leaders across regulatory, intelligence, technology and assurance functions, you will unite diverse teams behind a shared vision for data and AI and drive outcomes beyond your direct span of control.

About You

You are an accomplished senior executive who has led enterprise-scale data, analytics or AI transformation and tech enabled delivery in a complex or regulated environment. You combine strategic vision with practical execution and a strong record of converting investment into measurable business, regulatory or public value.

You Bring

• demonstrated delivery of major data platform modernisation, migration or comparable enterprise programs
• deep understanding of the data lifecycle, governance, architecture, platforms and products
• experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering through enterprise wide influence
• sound judgement across privacy, cyber security, model, ethical, compliance and delivery risks
• credibility to engage commissioners, executives, technical specialists and external stakeholders.
