The Company is seeking a Chief Academic Officer to serve as its most senior academic leader and a key member of the Executive Committee. The successful candidate will be responsible for the quality, integrity, and relevance of all academic programs, with a focus on establishing a clear academic direction and a robust academic culture. This role involves leading academic governance, compliance, and quality assurance, as well as providing strategic leadership for award curricula and ensuring the professional relevance and future focus of qualifications.

The Chief Academic Officer will also champion student learning and achievement, lead a research and scholarship strategy, and build strong relationships with the legal profession, law firms, courts, regulators, and other educational institutions. Applicants for the Chief Academic Officer position at the company should be senior academic leaders with a significant background in academic strategy, curriculum, and teaching and learning, preferably in a legal education or related professional discipline. A doctoral-level postgraduate qualification or equivalent academic and professional standing is required, along with a strong record of academic achievement, scholarship, research, or professional practice.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of academic governance, quality assurance, and the Australian higher education regulatory environment, and will possess the credibility and networks necessary to lead change and build high-performing academic teams. The role demands a collegial approach, the ability to influence at senior levels, and a strong commitment to student success. Flexibility in working hours and the ability to travel both interstate and internationally are also essential.
