Job summary

Galaxy 2014 is seeking experienced Chicken Hangers / Poultry Process Workers for a busy Keysborough poultry processing facility. Positions are on-call casual with Monday–Friday days, 6:00am starts and 1–5 shifts per week.

Suitable for students on a Visa; visa sponsorship is not available. Ideal candidates have experience with raw poultry, perform in a fast-paced environment, and are reliable with good teamwork and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in chicken hanging or poultry processing is essential.
• Good understanding of food handling and hygiene processes.
• Able to perform repetitive manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent physical fitness and reliability for early starts and on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Hang live chickens onto the processing line safely and efficiently.
• Perform chicken line and poultry processing duties.
• Maintain a consistent work pace while meeting production targets.
• Handle poultry in accordance with animal welfare standards and workplace procedures.
• Perform repetitive manual tasks, including lifting and handling.
• Work in a cold production environment with feathers, dust and odours.
• Assist with cleaning, equipment upkeep and end-of-shift sanitation.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures.

Chicken Hanger / Poultry Process Workers

EXPERIENCED CHICKEN HANGERS & POULTRY PROCESS WORKERS WANTED!

Looking for flexible casual work with the opportunity to work 1–5 shifts per week? Our client is seeking reliable and experienced Chicken Hangers / Poultry Process Workers to join a busy poultry processing facility in Keysborough.

These are on-call casual positions offering flexible work opportunities, with potential for overtime for suitable and reliable workers.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

• Monday to Friday - NO WEEKENDS

• Dayshift only

• Shifts commence at 6:00am

• Approximately 1–5 shifts per week, depending on operational requirements

• Positions are on-call, so flexibility and availability are essential - (Suitable for students on a Visa)

• Previous experience working with raw poultry or in a food processing environment is highly regarded

• You must be comfortable working with raw poultry products

• This is a physical, fast-paced and sometimes cold working environment

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on role suited to people who are physically fit, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

You may be required to:

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The successful candidates will have:

• Previous experience in chicken hanging or poultry processing – essential

• Experience working with raw poultry, food manufacturing or production environments

• A good understanding of food handling and hygiene processes

• Excellent physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual tasks

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

• Strong reliability and punctuality

• A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team

• Flexibility to accept on-call shifts starting at 6:00am

• A current resume with recent, contactable work references

• Full and unrestricted Australian working rights – visa sponsorship is not available
