Samsara Eco in NSW border region is seeking a Chemical Process Technician to operate and monitor production equipment while ensuring safe, efficient operation. You will maintain batch records and uphold GMP, quality controls, and environmental standards.

Ideal applicants have a Diploma in Chemical/Process/Industrial/Production Engineering, experience in process manufacturing, and strong numeracy. Six Sigma is a bonus; teamwork and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Chemical, Process, Industrial, or Production Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar chemical or process manufacturing role.
  • Solid understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Able to read PFDs, P&IDs, and SOPs.
  • Familiar with quality controls and safety regulations.
  • Competent in Excel, Word, and email; strong with numbers.
  • Good problem-solver with sharp attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Six Sigma qualification is a bonus.
  • A team player who contributes to a positive, inclusive work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Run and monitor production equipment (pumps, valves, reactors, control systems), adjusting as needed.
  • Carry out regular equipment checks and report faults immediately.
  • Oversee the full production process from raw materials through to final processing, maintaining accurate batch records.
  • Check raw materials, in-progress, and finished products against quality standards and resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety rules, GMP, and environmental regulations; report concerns to your Team Lead.
  • Keep workspace clean, organised, and 5S-compliant.
  • Use SPC/6-Sigma tools to track output and efficiency, and actively suggest improvements.
  • Work with engineers, lab staff, maintenance, and quality teams to solve problems and run process improvement trials.
