Job summary

Hilton Hotels & Resorts – Surfers Paradise, QLD is seeking a skilled culinary professional to lead dinner service in our al la carte restaurant as well as banquets and events.

You will ensure high-quality dining experiences, work with a team to uphold service standards, supervise and train staff, and help manage wastage while keeping the kitchen clean and efficient.

Qualifications

• 2+ years demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Current, valid trade qualification in cookery.
• Knowledge of current food trends.
• Ability to work under pressure.

What will you be doing?

Leading the way with yourcreative flair and passion for food you will be working in our al la carte dinner restaurant as well as banquets and events. In this role you will be responsible for;

• Ensuring consistent delivery of quality, well presented dining experiences to our guests
• Working with the team to ensure exceptional customer service standards
• Supervising a team of highly passionate culinary enthusiasts and assist with training team members
• Reduce food wastage and manage and maintain a clean working environment

What are we looking for?

• A minimum of 2 years demonstrated previous experience in a similar role
• A current, valid, and relevant trade commercial cookery qualification
• Knowledge of current food trends
• Ability to work under pressure
