Our client Seamorse Restaurant is seeking two qualified and experienced Chefs to join their team on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan menus in consultation with management
  • Estimate food and labour costs and order food supplies
  • Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Prepare and cook food in accordance with menu requirements
  • Discuss food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and waiting staff
  • Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on cooking procedures
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Select, train, and supervise kitchen staff as required
  • Freeze and preserve foods where necessary.
Skills and Experience required
  • Relevant trade qualifications:
  • Certificate III and / or IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Diploma of Hospitality Management (preferred)
  • Minimum one (1) year of full-time relevant work experience as a Chef
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and public holidays.
