Job summary

Eden Academy Botanic Ridge is seeking an experienced Chef to lead our commercial-style kitchen and design nutritious daily meals for 97 children in a welcoming, safety-focused environment.

You will work Monday to Friday in a professional kitchen, ensuring dietary needs are met and engaging with both children and educators to promote healthy eating habits. Competitive above-award pay and childcare fee benefits await.

We are looking for a culinary creator to lead our commercial-style kitchen and nourish the next generation!We area child safe organisation, committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children.

Step into a professional, commercial-style kitchen designed for excellence. Operating from 6:30am - 6:30pm, you will have the autonomy to design, prepare, and deliver vibrant, balanced, and nutritional menus for 97 curious little foodies. At Eden, we believe healthy bodies lead to hungry minds!

As our new Chef, you will:

• Plan and prepare daily meals in line with nutrition guidelines and centre requirements
• Cater to diverse dietary needs with confidence and care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
• Engage with children and educators to promote healthy eating habits
• Build genuine connections with families and create sense of community

What You’ll Bring:

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery OR
• Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent
• Food Safety Certificate
• A current Working with Children Check
• Strong understanding of diverse dietary requirements and food sensitivities
• Australian Working Rights
• Impeccable personal presentation
• Experience in menu creation, bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management, and budget control
• Proven experience in commercial cooking
• Availability to work Monday to Friday
