Job summary

Charity Fundraiser (Independent Contractor, ABN) - Melbourne

We find regular monthly donors for much-loved Australian charities: one that brings medical care to people in remote and rural communities, and one that cares for animals.

What you'd do

You set up at street sites, shopping centres and special events, and chat with people about causes many of them already love. Some will choose to become monthly donors. You do it honestly and without pressure, because we want every donor to feel good about it a year later.

How you're paid, please read this

• You're paid for each donor you sign up, not for your hours. No hourly rate, no base pay, no guaranteed income.
• You need an ABN (free and quick to get, and we'll point you the right way). You look after your own tax and super.
• A small part of each payment is held as a quality bond until the charity confirms the pledge, then paid out, less any cancellations.
• You invoice weekly. Your rates are agreed with you in writing before you start.

• Charity and compliance training before your first day, plus our online training hub.
• The option to watch an experienced fundraiser at a stand before you decide.

Who it suits

Friendly, honest people who like chatting and would rather be paid for results than for hours: career changers, part-week workers, people between things, and experienced fundraisers. If you need a guaranteed weekly wage right now, it's not the right fit, and that's completely fine.
