Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CommBank) seeks a senior General Manager to lead credit risk model development and advanced analytics across the group. You will shape strategy, drive enterprise modelling capability, and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations while building strong teams and trusted stakeholder relationships.

Risk Management is responsible for developing and deploying the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.
Risk Management has policy teams that specialise in credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks as well as business unit facing teams. These areas collaborate with each other and specific areas within the Group to implement the Risk Management frameworks
Group Financial Risk establishes the frameworks, policies and risk appetite that govern the Group’s credit portfolio including portfolio oversight and capital modeling. Within the Capital and Provisioning Modelling Crew, the Chapter leads the development of probability of default, loss given default and exposure at default models, plus provisioning and stress-testing models across retail and non-retail portfolios.
Reporting to the Chief Credit Officer and a member of the Group Financial Risk Leadership Team, this General Manager level role will lead credit risk model development and advanced analytics across CommBank, Bankwest and ASB, shaping model strategy, strengthen risk and regulatory outcomes, and building enterprise modelling capability.
