Job summary

Initial Term: 3x12 month contract

Location: Canberra (Hybrid — onsite first 6 months)

Change Manager x6 – Federal Government, Canberra

We’re supporting a Federal Government agency with the engagement of six experienced Change Managers, based in Canberra, to deliver major transformation initiatives in 2026.

Role Overview

As a Change Manager, you will work across multiple programs to develop and implement change management strategies, support adoption of new systems and processes, and ensure alignment with organisational objectives. You’ll partner closely with project teams and executives to shape communication, training, stakeholder engagement, and transition planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end change management activities across complex programs
  • Develop change strategies, impact assessments, readiness evaluations and benefits realisation plans
  • Deliver communication and engagement plans, training artefacts, and digital adoption activities
  • Provide expert advice on change frameworks (e.g., PROSCI/ADKAR)
  • Identify risks, manage mitigation strategies and support business continuity
  • Coach and mentor staff to uplift organisational change capability
About You
  • Proven experience delivering change within complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption
  • Experience applying structured change methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills
  • Prior work within intelligence, law enforcement or national security would be advantageous
  • Federal Government experience, particularly working in small-to-medium size agencies, would be ideal
  • Exposure to benefits management and providing advice
