Job summary

Mt Buller Ski & Snowboard School (SSS) is seeking certified ski instructors to join our dynamic team at Mt Buller. The role is part-time with limited availability, requiring a minimum of 15 days from late June to September 2027, including weekends and holidays.

Applicants must hold APSI Level 1 or higher and have experience at a ski and snowboard school. Victorian Working with Children’s Check is required, and staff accommodation is not supplied for limited availability instructors.

Qualifications

• APSI Level 1 or higher (or international equivalent) and experience teaching at a bona fide ski and snowboard school
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Positive, flexible team player able to thrive in busy alpine conditions

Responsibilities

• Teach skiing or snowboarding to children and adults in group and private lessons
• Help guests identify suitable lesson options for themselves and family
• Support overall guest service around the resort and ski school meeting places

Mt Buller Ski & Snowboard School (SSS) are seeking certified ski instructors to join our dynamic team of instructors from around the globe.

If you love the mountains and the snow but aren’t currently able to commit to full time hours on the mountain this may be a great opportunity for you. Limited Availability Instructors are only required to commit to a minimum of 15 days of work over the winter season (preferably weekends and holidays).

If you are certified with APSI L1 or higher (or international equivalent) and have experience teaching at a bona fide ski and snowboard school, we would love to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching skiing or snowboarding to children and adults in group and private lesson settings
• Assisting guests in identifying the best lesson options for themselves and family members
• Assisting with overall guest service around the resort and especially in the Ski and Snowboard School meeting places

We're looking for people with:

• APSI Level 1 or higher (or equivalent)
• Previous teaching experience with a bona fide ski and snowboard school
• Available for work a minimum of 15 days from approximately 26th June to 19th September, 2027.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• A positive, flexible attitude and the ability to be a team player
• Ability to maintain a pleasant, professional manner under pressure and during extremely busy times
• Neat and well groomed appearance
• Your own ski/snowboard equipment including helmet
• All successful candidates will require a Victorian Working with Children's Check (this can only be attained when in Victoria, Australia)
• Note: Staff accommodation is not supplied for limited availability instructors.

Interviews:

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed. Interviews will be conducted by the Ski & Snowboard School team at a mutually convenient time via 'Teams'. The interviews normally commence from February - April.
