Job summary

RemedyTutoring is seeking committed tutors to deliver one-to-one tuition to children and young people across Croydon and nearby areas. We support students with a wide range of learning needs, including autism and ADHD, and seek educators who adapt their approach to help students progress at their own pace.

Ideal candidates hold QTS/PGCE or equivalent, with at least two years of teaching or tutoring experience, and strong SEN and communication skills.

Qualifications

• QTS, PGCE or another relevant recognised teaching qualification.
• A minimum of two years' relevant teaching or tutoring experience.
• SEN experience and a strong understanding of differentiated teaching.
• Confidence teaching English and Maths across primary and/or secondary levels.
• Reliability, flexibility and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to suitable tuition locations across Croydon.
• Tuition arrangements vary depending on each student's needs and placement requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one tuition to children and young people across Croydon and nearby areas.
• Adapt teaching approaches to individual needs and build positive relationships to support progress.
• Help students make progress at their own pace through personalised learning plans.
• Collaborate with guardians or schools where appropriate to ensure continuity of learning.
