Job summary

Mayfield Early Education Melton is seeking a Centre Cook to join our close-knit team on a fixed-term contract until July 2027. Hours are 9:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday, with no weekends or late nights.

You will create nutritious, tasty meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, plan balanced menus, maintain a clean kitchen, and work in a warm, supportive environment that values professional development and family balance.

Qualifications

• Passion for cooking and providing nutritious meals for children (6 weeks – 6 years).
• Experience in meal planning, kitchen management, and food preparation.
• Understanding of dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• First Aid in an education setting (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Cooking up wholesome, tasty meals that children will love.
• Planning and preparing nutritionally balanced menus (including dietary/allergy-friendly options).
• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen while meeting health & safety guidelines.
