Job summary

Wagga Wagga City Council’s Civil Operations team is seeking a CBD Maintenance & Street Sweeper Operator to keep the CBD clean and well-presented. You will operate street sweepers and high-pressure cleaning systems, performing footpath cleaning, rubbish collection and general maintenance.

This permanent, full-time role involves a roster with weekdays and alternate weekends, early starts from 4:00am, and occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• Must have a General Construction Induction Training (White Card).
• Experience operating plant and equipment such as street sweepers and high-pressure cleaning equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the CBD and public facilities.
• Operate and maintain street sweepers and high-pressure cleaning systems.
• Undertake footpath cleaning, rubbish collection and general maintenance tasks.
• Respond to scheduled maintenance programs and service requests.
• Complete workplace documentation and safety records.
