Job summary

Chandler Macleod is recruiting for a food production assistant at our client, a leading meals supplier to airlines, located in Melbourne. You will plate meals, prepare salads, sandwiches, garnishes and desserts, with on-site training provided.

Various shifts are available to fit your schedule. Ideal candidates will have recent experience in food manufacturing, basic English reading/writing skills, and the ability to lift 15 kg repeatedly.

Qualifications

• Recent and relevant experience in food manufacturing environments
• Basic reading and writing skills in English (HACCP Compliance, following menu & safety compliance)
• Flexibility to work day shift and afternoon shift
• Ability to lift 15 kg repetitively
• Availability to work minimum 4 shifts per week

Job description

Our client is a leading and successful food manufacturing giant supplying meals to many of the globes major Airlines.

Your role will involve the plating of meals, preparation of salads, sandwiches, garnishes & deserts with all relevant training to be provided on site. With the opportunity for ongoing work, we are looking for reliable and hardworkingindividuals to add to our amazing team.

Day Shift:7:00AM-3:00PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:30PM-11:30PM
Night Shift: 11:00PM- 07:00AM

With on siteparking, this site is incredibly accessible.

This role involves:

• - Food handling & plating of meals
• - Fast paced food production/preparation tasks
• - Repetitive manual handling
• - Cleaning items through anindustrial dishwasher
• - Sorting cutlery and dinnerware
• - General cleaning
• - Adheringto safe food practices and policies

To be successful for this opportunity you will ideally have:

• - Recent and relevant experience in food manufacturing environments

• - The ability to be on call for extra/OT shifts
• - Reliable car and license- Ability to lift 15 kg repetitively
• - Availability to work minimum 4 shifts per week
• - Proven reliability and work ethic
• - Initiative and passion
