Job summary

UnitingSA in Adelaide is seeking a friendly Catering Assistant to support food service across our Residential Aged Care facilities in the Western and Northern suburbs. The role is part-time or casual, offering flexible hours and a welcoming team environment where residents’ nutritional needs are met with care.

You'll work with the Chef Manager and kitchen team to plan meals, prepare and serve meals, while upholding safety and hygiene standards, and contributing to a warm, homely dining

Qualifications

• Have full working rights in Australia - essential.
• Hold a current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check - essential.
• Have experience in aged care or hospitality, or are keen to learn.
• Hold a Certificate II in Hospitality (or are willing to obtain one) or similar experience.
• Communicate well and enjoy working in a team.
• Are passionate about providing excellent care and service.
• Studying Certificate III in Commercial Cookery? This is a great opportunity to kickstart your career.

• Collaborating with the team to plan and prepare meals
