Job summary

Motion is seeking a commercially driven Category Manager to lead category growth across the Asia Pacific region. Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies that grow sales, margins and market share, working with sales, supply chain, marketing, engineering, customers and suppliers to strengthen offerings and deliver commercial outcomes.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop and execute category strategies that grow sales, margins and market share. You will work closely with sales, supply chain, marketing, engineering, customers and suppliers to strengthen product offerings and deliver commercial outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and execute category strategies, sales plans and promotional activities.
• Grow category sales, profit and market share across the APAC region.
• Manage product ranging, pricing, supplier relationships and home-brand growth.
• Partner with sales, supply chain and marketing teams to improve inventory, sales performance and customer outcomes.
• Deliver product training and technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Identify new products, suppliers, customer opportunities and potential acquisition targets.
• Lead and support Product Managers, Assistant Product Managers and Business Development Managers.

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated technical expertise within Industrial Bearings

Ability to undertake domestic and international travel as required, typically on a monthly basis.

• Strong commercial acumen and experience developing category or strategic sales plans.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, product ranges, pricing and category performance.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Confidence managing multiple priorities and working to deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI; ERP and CRM experience is also valued.
• A safety-focused, collaborative and customer-driven approach.
