Job summary

WesTrac's Mt Thorley Rebuilds Workshop is seeking Auto Electricians to join our team, delivering complete Caterpillar machine rebuilds to OEM standards. Based at Mt Thorley, you will work with a highly experienced rebuild team in a modern CAT workshop, avoiding FIFO/DIDO and site travel.

The role offers a lifestyle roster, 5 weeks annual leave, long-term career progression, and competitive rates with overtime.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Experience with heavy equipment or mining electrical systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, repairing and rebuilding electrical and electronic systems on CAT equipment.
• Installing and testing wiring harnesses, sensors, modules and monitoring systems.
• Conducting fault finding throughout rebuild and commissioning activities.
• Performing inspections and quality checks to OEM standards.
• Supporting safe, efficient and high-quality workshop operations.
• Working with supervisors and trades teams to deliver rebuild projects on schedule.
