Job summary

Trinity Grammar School Summer Hill in Summer Hill NSW is seeking a part‑time Swim Coach to deliver term-time coaching sessions and support students in developing confidence and skills in swimming.

You will join an experienced coaching team, delivering structured sessions and potentially additional hours throughout the year. Applications should outline availability and include references. A NSW WWCC and first aid certifications are expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold SWIM Australia Teacher of Competitive Swimming or AUSTSWIM Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes certification.
• Ability to adapt coaching methods to individual swimmers and groups of varying abilities.
• Proven experience working with students across different age groups and skill levels.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured coaching sessions during term time.
• Help students develop confidence, skills and enjoyment of swimming.
• Maintain professionalism, reliability, punctuality and clear communication.

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Coach looking to make a positive impact on young swimmers? Bring your expertise to Trinity Grammar School and help students develop their confidence, skills and enjoyment of swimming. As a Swim Coach, you will be part of dynamic and supportive team delivering structured training sessions that foster growth and development in and out of the pool.

We currently have coaching opportunities available during term time on:

• Tuesday to Thursday, 3:30pm - 5:30pm
• Tuesday and Friday, 1:30pm - 3:30pm

While these are our current vacancies, we welcome applications from coaches with additional availability, as opportunities to cover sessions and take on extra coaching hours arise throughout the year. Please outline your availability in your cover letter.

We are looking for...

• SWIM Australia Teacher of Competitive Swimming or AUSTSWIM Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes certification
• The ability to adapt coaching methods to suit individual swimmers and groups of varying abilities
• Demonstrated experience working with students across a range of age groups and skill levels
• Professional approach to work, including reliability, punctuality, and strong communication skills

• Compliance requirements needed before commencement: NSW Working with Children number (Employment Status), First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), CPR Certificate (HLTAID009) and PBTR - Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction certificate
