Job summary

Harris Farm Markets is seeking a Shop Assistant to help customers find what they need, keep the store looking fresh, and be part of a team that loves good food and good people. No experience required; a friendly attitude and pride in your work are valued.

You’ll contribute to a welcoming, well-organised store and learn on the job. You will rotate stock, maintain displays, ensure FIFO, and support daily operations while upholding food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Physically capable of being on your feet and manual handling.
• Flexible availability across a 7-day roster AM & PM shifts.

Responsibilities

• Filling and rotating stock to maintain fresh, appealing displays.
• Keeping Back of House organised, clean and well-managed.
• Monitoring stock quality, dates and rotation (FIFO).
• Providing helpful, on-the-floor customer service.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.

You’ll help customers find what they need, keep the store looking fresh and abundant, and be part of a team that loves good food and good people. No experience needed, we’ll teach you everything. Responsibilities

• Filling and rotating stock to maintain full, fresh, and appealing displays
• Keeping the Back of House organised, clean, and well-managed
• Monitoring stock quality, dates, and rotation (FIFO)
• Maintaining excellent shelf management for accurate customer convenienceProviding helpful, on-the-floor customer service
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
• Supporting the team to ensure smooth daily operations

About you

We are looking for someone who loves food, with previous experience working in a fresh food retail business.Additionally, we are looking for someone with:

• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
• Physically capable of manual handling and being on your feet
