Job summary

The Salvation Army in Darwin is seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to support day-to-day store operations and create an engaging in-store experience for customers and the community. Based in Casuarina, NT, this on-site role reports to the Store Manager and offers a flexible roster.

You'll assist with POS, sort and price donations, merchandising, and delivering outstanding customer service, while upholding TSA values and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Retail sales experience - highly regarded but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and ability to deliver outstanding results.
• Alignment with our values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hands-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.

Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point of Sale devices;
• Sort, price and prepare donations for sale.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service.
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work related activities.
