Job summary

Respect Mareeba Gardens is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a Casual basis in Western Australia. The RN will provide safe, competent clinical care to residents, under AHPRA guidelines, reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager.

Key duties include history taking, care planning, direct clinical care, medication administration, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality, person-centred care. AHPRA registration and police clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Knowledge of Residential Classification Scale and Aged Care Quality Standards.
• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Understanding of government standards and legislative requirements for aged care delivery.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Understanding of the aged care accreditation process.

Responsibilities

• Compile comprehensive histories from residents and families to identify care needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation reflecting care delivery.
• Develop and evaluate resident care plans and assist with admissions.
• Provide direct clinical care including personal hygiene, pain management, and GP rounds.
• Administer medications and ensure proper ordering, storage and documentation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve resident outcomes.
• Promote a safe, respectful and supportive environment for residents, families and colleagues.
