Job summary

John Fawkner Private Hospital in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the General Surgical (Ortho) ward on a casual basis. You will support the nursing team with planning, assessment, and evidence-based patient care while adhering to AHPRA standards and Healthscope policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• General surgical nursing experience.
• Nursing experience in acute Orthopaedic or Plastic Surgery settings.
• Understanding of the Australian National Commission in Quality and Safety Ten National Standards.
• Ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Adhere to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and Healthscope policies.
• Foster learning through clinical presentations and ongoing professional development.
• Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with external partners to ensure high quality care across the health continuum.
• Maintain professional relationships with VMO partners and uphold customer service mindset.
