Job summary

Southern NSW Local Health District is seeking a Casual Registered Midwife for the Bega Maternity Unit to deliver women-centred maternity care within a supportive rural team. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary group, provide evidenced-based care, and offer supervision to less experienced colleagues.

Eligible applicants must hold AHPRA registration, demonstrate recent clinical experience, and communicate effectively in a busy team.

What you'll be doing

The Registered Midwife using best practice evidence provides women-centered maternity care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.

• Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife with evidence of recent clinical experience and skills in relation to the position, and a strong commitment to maintaining professional competence.
• Demonstrated effective professional verbal and written communication within a diverse multidisciplinary team.
