Job summary

TOMRA Australia is seeking a Recycling Centre Attendant (Christmas Casual) in Brisbane. You will help customers, keep our centres clean, and ensure machines operate smoothly to support the Containers for Change program.

You’ll work a mix of weekdays and weekends across Salisbury and Seventeen Mile Rocks locations, with morning/afternoon shifts and a focus on safety. A forklift licence is ideal but not essential.

Qualifications

• Have a passion for recycling and the environment.
• Be a safety champion, everyone deserves to return home safely!
• Have experience in face-to-face customer service.
• Be physically fit, some manual lifting will be required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional customer service to ensure our customers have a great experience
• Ensuring the recycling centre is well presented by maintaining a safe, clean, efficient and professional environment for team members and TOMRA customers
• Carryout regular cleaning and maintenance of our reverse vending machines and sorting equipment
• Ensuring the sorting equipment is running efficiently by removing and replacing collection bins as they fill up
• Monitoring the recycling centre for any hazards and reporting concerns as they arise
• Ad-hoc duties as required by management
