Job summary

St John of God Burwood Hospital is seeking a Grade 2 Psychologist to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis. You will deliver advanced psychological assessment, formulation and treatment to consumers across acute and psychiatric settings, with opportunities to lead group programs.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality care, collaborative planning with referring doctors and clear clinical documentation to support recovery and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology.
• Current general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Experience delivering individual therapy and group programs.
• Experience with children, adolescents and adults with a broad range of mental health concerns.
• DBT and Schema-Focused Therapy experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced psychological assessment and formulation.
• Deliver individual psychological therapy and facilitate group programs.
• Develop and coordinate therapeutic groups for diverse clients.
• Monitor progress and adapt treatment plans for complex presentations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses and Allied Health professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and timely documentation.
