The Lost Dogs Home in Cranbourne is seeking a part-time Customer Experience Officer to support adoptions, reclaim dogs and cats, and help reunite owners with their pets. This max-term role blends friendly customer service with animal welfare.

You’ll handle enquiries, process transactions, and educate visitors on responsible pet ownership, while working in a diverse, inclusive team committed to animal welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Interest in animal welfare is essential.
• Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic knowledge of animal behaviour is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to the public at the Cranbourne shelter.
• Assist with adoptions, reclaims, and lost pet searches.
• Handle admin tasks: record lost/found pet info, update adoption profiles, communicate with councils.
• Process financial transactions and daily banking procedures.
• Educate visitors about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.
• Guide potential adopters through the adoption process.
