Job summary

Service Stream in Adelaide seeks Casual Meter Readers to cover the metropolitan region. You will walk from property to property, using an electronic handheld device to read and record utility consumption, verify readings, and report progress to the office.

This role is outdoors and physically demanding but rewarding, with early starts and a casual Mon–Fri schedule. No experience is required, though prior work in a physically active environment helps.

Qualifications

• No prior meter reading experience required.
• Experience in a physically demanding role is advantageous.
• Fit and reliable with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise your work day and routes.
• Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner.
• Understand and ensure efficiency targets are met.
• Publicly represent Service Stream and our clients in a professional manner.
• Regularly communicate with office support team.
• Upload/download route information to/from hand-held computer.
• Report to office as required.
