At Home Together in Melbourne seeks a compassionate Support Worker to join our Western Melbourne team on a casual temporary basis (6-12 months). You will provide personal care and support to aged care clients and NDIS participants, including daily living activities and mobility assistance, with respect for dignity and independence.

Your role requires strong communication, manual handling skills, infection control, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of manual handling and infection control standards within a care setting.
• 6-12+ months experience in a support or care role, ideally within social care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• A compassionate and patient approach to care, with a commitment to promoting client dignity and independence.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a care setting.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility support.
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families, ensuring their needs and preferences are understood and respected.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Support clients in engaging with community activities and services to promote social inclusion.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and organisational policies to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
