Hungry Jack's Waurn Ponds is hiring a reliable Kitchen Hand to support our busy kitchen. You will help with food preparation, dishwashing and keeping areas clean, reporting to the Chef in Charge in a friendly, fast-paced setting.

This casual role offers on-the-job training, competitive wages, flexible shifts, and opportunities to gain nationally accredited qualifications. A Working with Children Check is required, and availability between 9:30am and 8:00pm is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in food preparation and/or food service.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach.
• The role requires the Working with Children Check.
• Availability between 9.30am to 8.00pm

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and maintain kitchen floors, including sweeping, scrubbing and mopping.
• Keeping the kitchen, dish area, and storage areas clean and organised.
• Organise and maintain pantry shelving.
• Remove hard rubbish and kitchen waste using our closed-loop compost machine.
• Assist with basic food preparation and food service tasks as required.
• Adhere to health and hygiene standards at all times.

Looking for flexible casual work in a supportive team environment? Our Waurn Ponds Estate hospitality team is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen team. Reporting to the Chef in Charge, you'll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient kitchen while assisting with food preparation and service.
