Job summary

MVI Management Pty Ltd operates Lake Hume Holiday Park in Bowna, NSW. We are seeking a Casual Housekeeper to maintain cabins, ensuites and common areas to high standards, with shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

You will be paid an hourly rate of $33.85 plus Super, with additional penalty rates for weekends and public holidays under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months of housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Preferably in caravan park, hotel or hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service tourist cabins, including vacuuming, floors, beds, linen, dusting, kitchens, bathrooms, and windows.
• Clean ensuites in powered sites.
• Maintain common areas such as amenity blocks, camp kitchens, and games rooms.
• Report maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor or Park Manager.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.

Job description

Lake Hume Holiday Park is seeking a Casual Housekeeper to join our team in Bowna, NSW, just a 30-minute drive north-east from Albury. As a Casual Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our cabins, ensuites, and common areas to the highest standards.

The working hours include weekdays, weekends, and public holidays. Nonetheless, you are welcome to apply if you are only available on specific days of the week.

You will be paid an hourly rate of $33.85 plus Super for hours worked during the week, plus additional penalty rates for hours worked on weekends and public holidays, as per the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020.

What you'll be doing

• Cleaning and servicing of tourist cabins, which includes vacuuming & washing floors, making beds & changing linen, dusting, cleaning kitchens & bathrooms, and cleaning windows
• Cleaning of ensuites in powered sites
• Cleaning and maintaining common areas such as amenity blocks, camp kitchens, and games rooms
• Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Park Manager
• Providing excellent customer service to our guests

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a caravan park, hotel or hospitality environment
• Minimum 6-12 months of housekeeping or cleaning experience is required
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and dependable, with a strong commitment to attending accepted shifts and arriving on time
• Able to manage your availability responsibly and provide reasonable notice if you are unable to work a rostered shift
• Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on role that involves regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and general cleaning activities
• Understanding of Work Health & Safety responsibilities

Employment requirement
