Job summary

Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC – Bendigo VIC is seeking a Field Officer for a casual role in Bendigo. You will supervise clients at community work sites, induct and transport them to partner sites, and ensure safety and compliance across tasks, with a mix of field and office duties.

You’ll need strong communication, OH&S knowledge, and the ability to build rapport, resolve conflicts, and guide individuals toward productive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and safety awareness in field and office settings.
• Ability to manage groups and provide guidance to individuals.
• Experience applying OH&S practices and safe work instructions.
• Practical skills in carpentry, gardening or painting are desirable.
• Ability to document activities and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clients at community work sites and programs.
• Induct, instruct and transport clients to partner sites.
• Monitor work, ensure safety, and maintain equipment.
• Perform site inspections and identify hazards.
• Provide workplace safety guidance and instruction.
