Job summary

Flinders University is seeking enthusiastic Electronics Engineers to join the Engineering and Manufacturing Services Team on a casual basis. You will design and build electronic systems, prototypes and test equipment, taking projects from concept through to commissioning.

Ideal candidates have qualifications in electronics engineering, with hands-on PCB design, embedded systems and data acquisition experience.

You will have the opportunity to: Design and build specialised electronic systems, equipment and prototypes, taking projects from concept through to construction and commissioning. Solve real-world engineering challenges, providing practical technical advice and support to staff and students. Get hands-on with testing, troubleshooting, repairs, maintenance and calibration of laboratory, workshop and in-house equipment. Apply your technical expertise across areas such as PCB design, embedded systems, sensors, actuators and data acquisition. Work collaboratively with engineers, academics, students, suppliers and external contractors to deliver safe, practical and effective engineering solutions.

You will ideally have:

• Strong practical and technical skills, including the ability to construct, test, troubleshoot, repair or maintain electronic equipment.
• The ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, technical manuals and engineering documentation.
