Job summary

Busy Bees Waurn Ponds is seeking a passionate Casual Educator to join our team in Waurn Ponds. You will help create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children feel supported and inspired to learn.

You will implement EYLF-aligned play-based experiences, maintain safety, and build strong relationships with children and families while supporting daily routines and supervision. Experience in Australia is valued, and flexibility across shifts from 6:30am to 6:30pm is expected.

Qualifications

• Commitment to child safety and looking out for the wellbeing of children.
• Current Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or be actively working towards it.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications or willing to obtain.
• Current Working with Children Check (VIC).

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.
• Assist in providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and team members.
• Support daily routines, activities and supervision of children.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards aligned with NQS.

Casual Educator | $38.71 – $47.68 per hour | Waurn Ponds

We’re seeking a passionate and adaptable Casual Educator to support our team at Busy Bees at Waurn Ponds , on a casual basis. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel supported and inspired to learn.

What you’ll do

• Supporting the implementation of engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Assisting in providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Supporting daily routines, activities, and supervision of children
• Contributing to maintaining high standards aligned with the National Quality Standards (NQS)

What you’ll bring

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check for VIC
• Experience working as an Educator within Australia is highly regarded
• Flexibility to work across shifts between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
