Job summary

SuniTAFE is seeking a casual Conservation and Ecosystem Management Teacher to deliver and assess the Certificate II at the SMART Farm campus in Irymple, combining industry knowledge with education through classroom, practical and workplace learning.

The role involves developing learning materials, assessing student competency, and liaising with industry to enhance training outcomes while promoting safe work practices and compliance with RTO standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in conservation and ecosystem management or a closely related field.
• Certificate IV Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of local ecosystems, biodiversity and conservation principles in the north-west Victoria and Mallee regions.
• Strong botanical knowledge of native and introduced species.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training and assessment for the Certificate II in Conservation and Ecosystem Management.
• Facilitate learning across a range of delivery modes.
• Develop engaging learning materials and practical training activities.
• Assess student competency and provide timely feedback.
• Support student engagement, retention and progression through individualised guidance.
