Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a casual Educator at Mermaid Waters to support our team in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children. The role offers casual shifts from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, with competitive hourly pay.

Applicants should have a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or be working towards it), current First Aid/ CPR/Anaphylaxis, and a valid QLD Working with Children Check. Experience in Australia is valued.

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards).
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain).
• Current Working with Children Check for QLD.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with EYLF.
• Assist in providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Support daily routines, activities, and supervision of children.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards aligned with the NQS.

We’re seeking a passionate and adaptable Casual Educator to support our team at Busy Bees at Mermaid Waters, on a casual basis. You will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel supported and inspired to learn.

What you’ll do

• Supporting the implementation of engaging play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
• Assisting in providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all children
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Supporting daily routines, activities, and supervision of children
• Contributing to maintaining high standards aligned with the National Quality Standards (NQS)

What you’ll bring

• A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values
• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Current - Working with Children Check for QLD.
• Experience working as an Educator within Australia is highly regarded
• Flexibility to work across shifts between 6:30am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
