Job summary

St Mary’s Health Services in Mordialloc, VIC, is seeking casual Disability Support Workers for group-based day programs and group homes in the South-East suburbs. Shifts run Monday to Friday, 8:00am–3:00pm, with sleepover shifts also available.

Join a team delivering high-quality, person-centred supports tailored to individual goals and needs. Successful applicants will be expected to implement BSPs, complete shift notes and incident reports, and participate in compliance checks.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability (or equivalent qualification).
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certificate.
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence.
• Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for these roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred support in line with each participant’s individual needs, goals, and program requirements.
• Promote independence, personal growth, and skill development through active support.
• Assist participants to build confidence and engage meaningfully within their community.
• Implement structured programs and identify opportunities for learning and development.
• Support participants to develop social connections and increase community participation.
• Follow Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and organisational procedures.
• Complete accurate documentation, including shift notes and incident reports.
