Job summary

TLC Disability Support Services is seeking Casual Personal Care Disability Support Workers for the Latrobe Valley. You will provide hands-on personal care, meal support, companionship and assist with mobility in home and community settings.

Applicants should have a passion for quality care, and availability across mornings, evenings and weekends. A driver’s licence and CPR/First Aid are preferred, with screening checks encouraged.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, reliable and caring.
• Experience or qualifications in Disability, Aged Care, or Nursing.
• Excellent communication and empathy skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
• Flexibility to work across mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Driver's Licence and a reliable vehicle (preferred).
• First Aid & CPR certification.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain.
• National Police Check and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care at clients' homes and in the community.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support.
• Support meal preparation, feeding and general household tasks.
• Offer companionship and ensure emotional wellbeing and safety.
• Assist with medication prompts and follow individual care plans.
• Encourage independence and social participation in the community.
• Keep clear, accurate notes on client progress and wellbeing.
• Join clients on outings and group activities to support inclusion.
