Ravenswood School for Girls on Sydney's North Shore is seeking a passionate Dance Teacher to join our Co-Curricular Dance Program on a casual basis. The role focuses on Hip Hop for Prep–Year 12, with classes held on Tuesday afternoons and potential to expand over time.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of Senior School Hip Hop experience, current CPR/First Aid, and Safe Dance training. Join a school committed to positive education, student wellbeing, and a supportive, collaborative co-curricular

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching Senior School students in Hip Hop.
• Appropriate dance qualifications.
• CPR and First Aid training up to date.
• Safe Dance Training course completed recently.

Responsabilités

• Lead Hip Hop classes for Ravenswood’s Co-Curricular Dance Program.
• Attend eisteddfods and performance events as required.
• Polish and refine performance groups to suit a school context.
• Be willing to teach other styles and age groups if necessary.
• Collaborate with the Co-Curricular team to grow the dance program.
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. We are seeking a passionate dance teacher to join our school Co-Curricular Dance Program on a casual basis. Ravenswood is proud of its growing Co-Curricular Dance Program that offers classes for students in Prep to Year 12 in a variety of dance styles.

The successful candidate will:

Be highly organised with strong communication skills,

Have the appropriate qualifications with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience teaching Senior School students in Hip Hop,

Have a keen eye for polishing and refining performance groups in the Hip Hop style, appropriate to a school context,

Be willing to attend eisteddfods and performance events throughout the year,

Have a passion for positively building the schools' dance program,

Be willing to take other styles and age groups if necessary.

Hold up to date CPR and First Aid training,

Be willing to or has completed safe dance training course recently.

These classes are held on Tuesday afternoons and there is the potential for this role to expand over time.
