A leading medical technology company in Newcastle is seeking a Casual Clinical Consultant for Joint Replacement. In this part-time role, you will support orthopaedic surgeons and hospital staff with clinical and technical expertise while providing training and fostering relationships in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have a relevant tertiary qualification and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (e.g. nursing, physiotherapy, science, biomedical engineering).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, theatre-based environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Current driver’s license and flexibility to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support during orthopaedic procedures, primarily in hip and knee replacement.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Deliver ongoing training and education to hospital staff on the effective use of products.
• Collaborate with the sales team to support territory objectives and case planning.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings and clinical techniques.
• Ensure exceptional service and support to both public and private hospitals across the Northern Territory.

Overview

This is a casual, hourly-rate position that includes occasional weekend responsibilities to support urgent clinical cases. You will provide clinical and technical support to orthopaedic surgeons, nurses and hospital staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support during orthopaedic procedures, primarily in hip and knee replacement
